The Home Alone house is for sale!

This has to do not with my own place but I couldn't help but share the following WSJ article:

The house from Home Alone is for sale!

I have always loved this house, and the movies of course. I mean, what's not to love about it? The really cool laundry chute where Kevin shot Buzz's toys into the hamper, the creepy furnace in the basement, the treehouse, the dog flap in the kitchen door, the STAIRS that must have inspired so many children to sled indoors (and caused several broken bones as a result but there's no way to quantify that statistic)! Those stairs, by the way, were not lined up straight at all... I was always puzzled how Kevin managed to zoom right through the door when that was clearly not the direct path...

Also, since the house is a brick center-hall colonial and has black shutters, and really 90's wallpaper, it reminds me of the house I grew up in, except this one is twice as big. Hah.

My parents' house, after they changed the shutters from black to... a butter color? Forgive my mom's Facebook for not providing me with a better picture.

Anyhoo, $2.4 mil sounds like a steal to me. You're literally buying a piece of entertainment history! Although I daresay, I personally might have to hold out until the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" house hits the market...
